Introduction:
At Mahalakshmi Tech Campus, our commitment to excellence is reflected in our focus on Quality Sustenance and Quality Enhancement. These principles guide our efforts to ensure the highest standards in education. We recognize the importance of accreditation and assessment bodies like NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and NBA (National Board of Accreditation) in maintaining and improving educational quality.
To align with these standards, we have established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), dedicated to the continuous improvement of our services, processes, and resources. The IQAC is tasked with designing, monitoring, and assessing quality parameters within our academic functions, ensuring effective conformance to stakeholder requirements.
The IQAC’s role encompasses reviewing and developing a system of ongoing, conscious, and catalytic action aimed at enhancing the teaching-learning process, refining evaluation procedures, and elevating the quality of both students and faculty. Regular internal audits are conducted by the IQAC to drive continuous improvement across the institute.
Quality Policy:
Our Quality Policy emphasizes fostering a culture of quality through responsive, reliable, and transparent efforts. This is achieved through a blend of self-assessment and external quality evaluations to uphold our commitment to excellence.
Quality Objectives:
- To realize the vision and mission of Mahalakshmi Tech Campus in alignment with our Quality Policy.
- To establish a system for deliberate, consistent, and catalytic actions that enhance the academic performance of the institution.
- To promote a culture of quality and the adoption of best practices throughout the campus.
- To implement a sustainable Quality Management System aimed at advancing the quality of education.
Objective
The primary aim of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is to:
- Develop a system for deliberate, consistent, and catalytic actions that enhance both the academic and administrative performance of the institution.
- Promote institutional measures focused on quality enhancement through the internalization of quality circles and the institutionalization of best practices.
Strategies
To achieve these objectives, the IQAC will:
- Implement mechanisms and procedures to ensure timely, efficient, and progressive performance across academic, administrative, and financial tasks.
- Enhance the relevance and quality of academic and research programs.
- Ensure equitable access to and affordability of academic programs for diverse sections of society.
- Optimize and integrate modern teaching and learning methods to improve educational delivery.
- Maintain the credibility of evaluation procedures to uphold academic standards.
- Ensure adequate, well-maintained, and properly allocated support structures and services.
- Facilitate the sharing of research findings and establish networks with other institutions both within India and internationally.
Functions
The IQAC performs the following functions:
- Develop and apply quality benchmarks for various academic and administrative activities within the institution.
- Foster a learner-centric environment that supports quality education and faculty development, integrating necessary knowledge and technology for an effective teaching and learning process.
- Arrange for feedback collection from students, parents, and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
- Disseminate information regarding various quality parameters of higher education.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and quality-related events both within and outside the institution to promote quality circles and best practices.
- Document programs and activities that contribute to quality improvement.
- Serve as the central coordinating agency for quality-related activities, including the adoption and dissemination of best practices.
- Develop and maintain an institutional database through Management Information Systems (MIS) to support and enhance institutional quality.
